TANGER MED
Entered into service in July 2007, the Tanger Med port responds to the desire of the Kingdom of Morocco to erect on the southern shore of the Strait of Gibraltar a leading port, industrial and logistics platform, integrated into the global trade network. With a capacity of 3 million containers, which will be increased to 8 million by 2016, the Tanger Med port, designed to receive the latest generations of container ships, is both a platform for global activity transshipment and a gateway to Morocco to accommodate traffic related to import-export activities. Benefiting from an exceptional geographical location, in the heart of the Strait of Gibraltar, the Tanger Med port guarantees direct access to the main East / West maritime lines with "zero deviation" for ships. Its location at the meeting point between the Mediterranean and the Atlantic also gives it the advantage of being able to receive the North-South lines serving Africa and South America. The Tanger Med port, where the world leaders in port professions operate, thus reinforces the supply of modern and competitive port infrastructure in the Strait of Gibraltar, which handles 20% of global maritime container transport.

TANGER MED 2
With nearly a million containers handled in its first full year of operation, in 2008, the Tanger Med port confirmed the strategic and optimal position of the Strait of Gibraltar on the containerized maritime traffic market. The launch of construction works on Tanger Med 2, in June 2009, a major extension of the Tanger Med complex, will thus consolidate the potential of the Detroit over the long term and make it a nerve center in the global maritime container transport map. . Tanger Med 2, with a capacity of 5.2 million containers in addition to the 3 million containers of Tanger Med 1, will also make it possible to erect the port complex into a leading port in the Mediterranean and the Atlantic.

TANGER FREE ZONE
Since the launch of Tanger Med and throughout its gradual expansion, TMSA has ensured the establishment of a port platform of excellence connected to global flows. The simultaneous and coordinated development of the Large Industrial Platform, launched by His Majesty the King in 2009 and carried by Tanger Free Zone, further consolidates the value proposition of the integrated complex. As part of an agreement signed between the State and TMSA, a dedicated land base of more than 3000 ha has been mobilized within an 80 km radius of the Tanger Med port complex in order to develop modern industrial parks. The establishment of this Large Industrial Platform thus comes confirm the primary vocation of Tanger Med consisting of the development of industry and employment in the hinterland of the port. Due to its size, the Large Industrial Platform is therefore part of a long-term development vision. It aims to guarantee in a sustainable manner to industrialists wishing to invest in the region sufficient land areas developed according to the best international standards and benchmarks.
